On May 6th, in celebration of Polonia and Poles Abroad Day and the anniversary of the Constitution of May 3rd, the red-and-white Polish Heritage Parade took place through the streets of Vilnius. Thousands of people marched from Independence Square, along Gediminas Avenue, through Zamkowa Street, Ostrobramska Street, passing by the Presidential Palace and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, all the way to the Gate of Dawn, where a solemn Holy Mass was held in front of the miraculous image of Our Lady. After the prayer at the Town Hall Square, a concert by the State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble "Mazowsze" took place.
The celebrations were attended by Poles from the Vilnius region, representatives of Polish schools, ensembles, and many other Polish organizations. Students and staff from the University of Bialystok's Vilnius Branch also participated in the parade as representatives of the university, as well as members of ensembles, municipalities, scouts, clubs, and more.
