The Erasmus+ Programme is an initiative of the European Union aimed at supporting educational mobility and strengthening international cooperation between higher education institutions. The programme enables students, academic teachers, and university staff to participate in study exchanges, traineeships, teaching assignments, training visits, and joint cooperation projects. Erasmus+ promotes the development of professional skills, intercultural competences, and the exchange of academic experience across Europe and beyond.

The Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius was established in 2007 as a result of cooperation between Polish and Lithuanian authorities. It was the first foreign university branch in Lithuania and the first faculty of a Polish public university operating outside Poland. Since its foundation, the Branch has combined a strong academic tradition with openness to international cooperation and multicultural dialogue.

From the 2024/2025 academic year, the Branch operates in a modern university building located at Aguonų Street 22 in Vilnius, officially opened on 6 July 2024. The investment was financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the University of Białystok.

The Branch offers the following study programmes:

• Economics – a 3-year Bachelor’s programme and a 2-year Master’s programme

• European Studies – a 3-year Bachelor’s programme

• Informatics – a 3-year Bachelor’s programme

• Preschool and Early Childhood Pedagogy – a five-year integrated Master’s programme

Within the Erasmus+ framework, the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius is open to all forms of international academic cooperation. We actively welcome student mobility, teaching and training staff exchanges, as well as joint educational and research initiatives. Thanks to our interdisciplinary academic offer and flexible institutional approach, we are ready to develop cooperation tailored to the needs of partner universities, lecturers, administrative staff, and students.
