During the holiday season, books acquire a special magic. They can bring people together, create a warm atmosphere, and transport readers into a world full of imagination, humor, and kindness. It was in this spirit that the latest “Meeting with a Book” was held, organized by the Literary Section of the Janusz Korczak Pedagogy Students’ Scientific Circle.
On December 29, the students invited the children of staff, students, and friends of the Scientific Circle to this special event. The holiday gathering provided an opportunity to spend time together and embark on a literary adventure.
During the meeting, participants listened to the story Paddington and the Christmas Surprise by Michael Bond. The tale of the friendly bear introduced the children to a cheerful, festive mood. The students, together with the children, discussed the events of the story, highlighted new words and their meanings, showing how interesting and rich language can be.
The event also featured numerous games, which brought great joy to the children and allowed them to actively participate in the meeting. There were also holiday surprises. At the end, the young guests met Santa Claus, who gave each child a festive gift.
“Meeting with a Book” is an initiative aimed at showing children that literature can be not only a reading experience but also an inspiration for conversation, play, and sharing special moments. Thanks to the dedication of the Pedagogy Students’ Scientific Circle, each meeting becomes a small celebration of books and imagination.
