On 20 March, the Branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius hosted an open lecture by Prof. Huseyin S. Kyuchuk (Hristo Kyuchukov), entitled “Educational Rights of Minority Children”. During the lecture, he discussed key challenges related to the educational rights of children from national minorities. The professor also presented the results of his research and discussed the main difficulties faced by these communities, including linguistic and cultural barriers. He also presented examples of good practices from various European countries.
Prof. Huseyin S. Kyuchuk is a distinguished linguist and specialist in intercultural education, bilingualism, and the education of Roma children and minority groups in Europe. He has an extensive academic and research record, and his cooperation with researchers and experts from around the world contributes to the development of this field. Since March 2025, he has been working at the Branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius as a visiting professor.
