On April 11th, a meeting in Lithuanian was held at the reading room of the Branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius, featuring Mr. Marius Vaščega, Head of the European Commission Representation in Lithuania. The event was organized by the Robert Schuman European Studies Scientific Club, under the leadership of Dr. Hab. Mieczysława Zdanowicz, Professor at the University of Bialystok.
The topic of the event was: "Europos Sąjunga jaunimui: galimybės, iššūkiai ir teisiniai aspektai" (The European Union for Youth: Opportunities, Challenges, and Legal Aspects).
During the meeting, issues related to the European Union's offerings for youth, the current challenges facing the Community, its priorities, and available opportunities for student internships were discussed.
As part of the visit, Mr. Marius Vaščega also met with Dr. Elżbieta Majewska, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Teaching, to discuss opportunities for further cooperation between the university and the European Commission Representation, as well as organizing joint meetings with European Commissioners.
