On 18 April, students, graduates, and staff of the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius took part in the "Tropem Wilczym" (On the Wolf's Trail) Commemorative Run for the Cursed Soldiers, held at Vingis Park. The event was organised to pay tribute to the soldiers of the Polish anti-communist and anti-Soviet underground.
This was already the 12th edition of the run in Vilnius, which — as every year — drew a large number of participants, combining sporting competition with historical reflection and a sense of community.
Participants could choose from various distances — from the symbolic 1,963 metres, referencing the year of death of the last Cursed Soldier, Józef Franczak "Laluś", through 5 km and 10 km routes, to a half marathon.
