The Evolution of Money: A Lecture for Students

31.03.2025

On March 28, students from the 2nd grade of the Szymon Konarski Gymnasium in Vilnius participated in an educational lecture titled "Do Money Grow on Trees?". The lecture introduced them in an engaging and accessible way to the history and evolution of money – from bartering, through the first forms of payment, to modern money and financial systems.

Students of preschool and early education pedagogy, as well as economics, facilitated practical tasks for the students and also prepared a word search with prizes, making the meeting more attractive and engaging.

During the visit, the students also had the opportunity to tour the university building, including lecture halls and the library. The students not only gained new knowledge but also had the chance to integrate with the Polish academic environment and develop their creativity.

Event organizers: Friedrich August von Hayek Economics Students' Scientific Circle (KNSE), Department of Economics and European Studies, and the Careers and Promotion Office of the Branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius.
