On June 10, a meeting took place devoted to the project of Kamila Kostyliova, a computer science student at the University of Białystok Branch in Vilnius, titled "System for Locating and Presenting Historical Burials, Using the Example of the Rasos Cemetery in Vilnius."

This project was distinguished during the International Interdisciplinary Student and Doctoral Scientific Conference titled "Young Borderland of Europe: Environment, Society, Economy," organized by the University of Białystok Branch in Vilnius and the Doctoral School of the University of Białystok. The conference took place on May 15, 2026, at the premises of the UwB Branch in Vilnius.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Dariusz Żybort, chairman of the Social Committee for the Care of the Old Rasos Cemetery. During the conversation, participants discussed possibilities for further cooperation and the next steps related to the development and practical application of the project.

We are pleased that the activities undertaken by our university's students can combine modern technology with the protection of Vilnius's historical and cultural heritage. The meeting is also an example of the cooperation between the University of Białystok Branch in Vilnius and its external environment, as well as institutions involved in preserving historical memory.
