On January 20, European Studies students participated in a study visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, organized by MEP Waldemar Tomaszewski in cooperation with the European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR).
According to the program of the visit, the students went to the European Parliament, where they had the opportunity to access the balcony of the plenary chamber and learn about the functioning of this institution. A meeting and conference with ECR Group Members of the European Parliament also took place, dedicated to the topic: “The Value of Europe is a Europe of Values: The Importance of Conservative and Traditional Values for the Future of the European Union.”
During the visit, current issues discussed in the European Parliament were also addressed, including the Cypriot presidency, which allowed students to better understand the way the European Parliament works and the process of preparing documents.
We had the opportunity to attend an ECR Group meeting, which concluded the day. Among other things, the meeting discussed resolutions concerning Lithuania. We would like to express our sincere thanks to MEP Waldemar Tomaszewski for organizing and providing the opportunity to participate in this event.
