On December 18th, a meeting with Dawid Jurewicz took place at the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius, organized by the Friedrich August von Hayek Economics Students' Scientific Club. The topic of the event was "Studies are just the beginning – how to develop yourself, help others, and build Polish identity".
The meeting aimed to highlight the importance of Polish identity among Poles in Lithuania and to demonstrate how crucial language skills, both native and foreign, as well as cultural understanding, are. The speaker emphasized the development of soft skills, communication in different languages, and the ability to adapt to diverse environments, which are essential for not feeling out of place in one's surroundings.
Dawid Jurewicz encouraged young people to actively engage in Polish community life, highlighting that such activities are crucial in social life and open up many opportunities for personal growth. The meeting aimed to inspire students to take action, showing how important it is to combine passion, knowledge, and commitment in building a strong Polish identity, both in personal and professional life.
As an example of a young, active person who successfully combines personal development with working for the community, Dawid Jurewicz became an inspiration for the participants, showing that anyone, regardless of their stage in life, can have a real impact on the world around them.
