On November 26-29, 2024, students from the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius, together with students from the University of Białystok, participated in the project “Future Bridge – Development and Dialogue.” The initiative, aimed at fostering leadership and communication skills among young leaders, included a series of workshops and meetings organized in collaboration between Polish universities and various organizations.
Participants engaged in debates and workshops focusing on public administration, collaboration with non-governmental organizations, and the roles of local leaders. The sessions were led by professionals, including city councilors, Olympic champions, and journalists, who shared their knowledge and experiences. A key highlight was the workshops on civic journalism and verbal and non-verbal communication, which helped attendees strengthen their interpersonal and public speaking skills.
The program also included cultural events, such as a theater performance by students of the Academy of Theatre Arts in Białystok and a celebration of the 106th anniversary of women’s suffrage, organized by the “100 Years of Women’s Rights” Association.
The stay in Białystok concluded with a project summary and a visit to the campus of the University of Białystok. The next phase of the project will take place in Vilnius from December 9-12.
