As part of the 22nd Podlasie Festival of Science and Art, held under the theme "Science is the continuous discovery of reality" – Albert Einstein, the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius hosted a meeting on 11 May with social policy analyst Agata Subotowicz entitled "Poverty in Lithuania and the EU: Scale of the Problem and Possible Solutions".
The meeting covered, among other topics, the scale of poverty in Lithuania and the European Union, the groups most vulnerable to it, and methods for measuring income inequality. Participants also had the opportunity to reflect on possible actions and solutions in the field of social policy.
