On November 11th, at Vilnius' Rasos Cemetery, by the Mausoleum of the Mother and Son’s Heart, a ceremony was held to mark Poland’s National Independence Day. Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius, the Polish community gathered to celebrate this important holiday together, laying a wreath at the tomb of the Heart of Marshal Józef Piłsudski.
As is tradition, representatives of the branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius participated in the ceremony at the Old Rasos Cemetery. The event at the Mausoleum of the Mother and Son’s Heart provided an opportunity to pay tribute to the memory of Józef Piłsudski and the fallen heroes, who fought for their homeland’s freedom.
