On 26 May, the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius was visited by alumna Patricija Macijevska, who currently works at the Vilnius City Municipality Administration. She serves as Head of the Educational Environment Division, where she is responsible for organizing the division's work and overseeing areas related to the functioning of educational institutions.
During the meeting with students, Patricija Macijevska spoke about the specifics of working in local government, everyday duties, and the challenges involved in managing public tasks. Among other topics, she introduced students to the planning and control of financial resources allocated to education, the coordination of projects carried out by educational institutions, cooperation with other institutions, and the importance of effective team organization.
The meeting was held as part of a series of open lectures and provided a valuable opportunity to learn about the practical dimension of working in public administration. Students had the chance to discover how knowledge gained during their studies can be applied in professional practice, and which competencies are particularly important in local government work.
