On 28 April, the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius hosted a meeting with Waldemar Markowski, a graduate of Economics who had already demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit during his studies. As he himself recalls, at that time he ran several small businesses — some turned a profit, others ended in losses, but every experience was a valuable lesson. During that period, he also founded his own company of the UAB type.
After graduating, he gained professional experience in the telecommunications sector, working in a B2B model at Omnitel (now Telia Lietuva). He subsequently advanced his career at Teltonika, where, within the TELMEDIC division, he was responsible for business development in the African market. He is currently associated with the TELEMATICS division of the same company, focusing on B2B cooperation and the development of the Asian market.
During the meeting with students, he shared his professional and entrepreneurial experience. He emphasised that the path to success is not always linear — sometimes it is worth taking a step back in order to later take two steps forward.
