On November 12-13, the International Conference "Poles in Lithuania in the Light of Contemporary Changes – Opportunities, Challenges, Threats" was held at PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw.
The event brought together scholars, journalists, educators, politicians, opinion leaders, as well as students from the branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius. Among the speakers was Dr. Małgorzata Wenclik, Vice-Dean of the branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius for Development and Internationalization, who participated in a discussion panel titled "Strategies for the Development of Polish Education in Lithuania".
The event, organized by the “Foundation Aid to Poles in the East” named after Jan Olszewski, marked the 30th anniversary of the Polish-Lithuanian Tract and focused on discussing the situation of the Polish minority in Lithuania, with particular attention to issues of security, education, and media.
