On November 15th, students from Class 4A of the Szymon Konarski Gymnasium in Vilnius, led by their teacher, Ms. Irena Kotwicka, participated in an educational trip to the branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius, where they had the opportunity to experience life as university students. The visit aimed to broaden the students' knowledge, familiarize them with the university's activities, and cultivate their interest in education and financial literacy.

During the visit, the students explored the university building, including lecture halls and the library, and admired the panoramic view of Vilnius from the university's windows. They also learned about the university's structure and the roles of the dean, vice dean, and other administrative staff.

A key highlight of the program was the lecture titled "Do Money Grow on Trees?", which introduced children to the history of money in an engaging and accessible way. The students learned about the concept of money, the principles of bartering, and the mechanisms of goods exchange, helping them better understand the basics of the economy. During the session, economics students conducted practical activities with the children and prepared quiz questions with prizes, making the event even more appealing and interactive.

The event was organized by the Friedrich August von Hayek Economics Students' Scientific Club (KNSE), Division of Economics and European Studies, and the Career and Promotion Office of the branch of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius. Thanks to their combined efforts, the students not only gained new knowledge but also had the opportunity to connect with the Polish academic community and develop their creativity.
