On 30 April, the School and Pre-school "Wilia" in Vilnius hosted a ceremonial celebration of one of the most important Polish national holidays — the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of 3 May.
This remarkable event provided an opportunity for a shared experience of patriotic sentiment and reflection on the history and values that are significant to successive generations of Poles. Second-year pupils prepared an exceptional artistic programme in which they presented, in an engaging and mature manner, the significance of the Constitution of 3 May and the ideas that accompanied its creation.
The young performers demonstrated that the constitution was not only an important historical document, but also a symbol of freedom, responsibility towards one's country, care for the common good, and the spirit of unity and cooperation. The values conveyed by the pupils remain pertinent to this day.
The Dean of the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius, Dr. hab. Urszula Wróblewska, Professor of UwB, attended the ceremony. Students of pre-school and early childhood education who are currently completing their professional placements at the institution also took part in the event.
