On 29 May 2026, second-year Economics students from the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius took part in the Student Section organized as part of the 13th International Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference SNPL2026, titled "Global Threats and the Resilience of Economies – The Perspective of Young Researchers." The event took place at the Polish Culture House in Vilnius and had a hybrid format.
The conference was organized by the Association of Polish Scientists in Lithuania, with the Student Section co-organized by the F. A. von Hayek Scientific Circle of Economics Students at the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius and the "International Challenge" Student Scientific Circle of International Economic Relations at the University of Economics in Katowice.
During the conference, Branch students presented the results of their research in thematic sections devoted to economic security, the competitiveness of economies, demographic change, and the situation of young people in the labour market. Papers were presented by:
The conference was also attended by Branch alumna Diana Lukoic, a member of the F. A. von Hayek Scientific Circle of Economics Students, who presented a paper titled "Economic Activity of Enterprises with Foreign Capital in Lithuania."
Participation in the conference was an important opportunity for students to present their own research interests, develop public speaking skills, and exchange experience with young researchers representing various academic centres. The event confirmed the research activity of Branch students and the importance of inter-university and inter-institutional cooperation.
