A Meeting with a Graduate – Jolita Gelažunienė

On 8 April, a meeting with economics graduate Jolita Gelažunienė took place at the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius.

Jolita Gelažunienė is the founder of MB "Megeja kepti" — a company dedicated to confectionery education and running a baking club for children. She has been active in the confectionery industry for over six years.

Already as a student, she was engaged in university life — participating in the student scientific society and taking part in educational projects. During the meeting, she encouraged students to take initiative, gain experience, and build connections with a wide range of people, emphasising that the student years are the best time for this kind of activity, as responsibilities are relatively fewer than in later professional life. Drawing on her own experience, she admitted that it took her years to realise how much she had missed by not making the most of that time.

As she developed her own business, she came to appreciate how important connections, the exchange of experience, and a supportive environment are for achieving success. This led her to discover networking and a club for entrepreneurial women. She has been a member of Start4networking for three years now and serves as an ambassador of the club, bringing together entrepreneurial women in the Aukštaitija region.
