On 17 April, members of the Student Scientific Society of European Studies visited the exhibition "A Man Between Worlds. The Ainu People of Northern Japan and Ethnographer Bronisław Piłsudski", on display at the Istorijų namai (House of Histories) in Vilnius.

During the visit, students explored the history and culture of the Ainu — the indigenous people of northern Japan — whose traditions, language, and identity faced the threat of disappearance for many years. Particular attention was devoted to the figure of Bronisław Piłsudski, who played a significant role in researching this community and documenting its cultural heritage.

The exhibition offered an insight into elements of Ainu material culture, their art, archival recordings, and their relationship with nature and spirituality.

The visit was complemented by a workshop in which students had the opportunity to try their hand at origami inspired by Ainu culture.
