On 21 May 2026, the 5th International Interdisciplinary Student Scientific Conference "Statistics Every Day" was held at the Faculty of Engineering Management. The event was held under the Honorary Patronage of the Rector of Bialystok University of Technology, the Mayor of the City of Białystok, the Statistical Office in Białystok, the Polish Statistical Association (Białystok Branch), and the Polish Section of INFORMS. The proceedings were conducted in a hybrid format, which made it possible to bring together speakers from numerous academic centers in Poland and abroad.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Management, Prof. Joanna Ejdys, PhD, DSc, Eng. Also speaking during the official part were: the Vice-Rector for Education at Bialystok University of Technology, Associate Professor Katarzyna Halicka, PhD, DSc, Eng., and the Director of the Statistical Office in Białystok and Deputy Chair of the Board of the Polish Statistical Association Branch, Associate Professor Dorota Wyszkowska, PhD, DSc, Professor of UwB. Those gathered were also welcomed by Dr. Elżbieta Majewska – Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Didactics at the University of Białystok Branch in Vilnius, which served as an organizational partner of the conference.
The aim of the 5th MISKN was to integrate the academic community, present scholarly achievements, and exchange research ideas related to the application of statistical methods. The conference was attended by bachelor's and master's degree students as well as doctoral candidates from Polish and foreign universities, who presented their research projects across various disciplines.
An outcome of the conference is a Book of Abstracts containing summaries of the presentations, with selected texts to be published in the scientific journal "Akademia Zarządzania."
Participation in the event was free of charge, made possible through the financial and organizational support of the authorities of the Faculty of Engineering Management, Bialystok University of Technology, and the UwB Branch in Vilnius. The organizers extend their thanks to the members of the student scientific associations of the Faculty of Engineering Management for their contribution to the smooth running of the conference.
During the conference, a paper was presented by Agata Klimovič, a student of the University of Białystok Branch in Vilnius (title: The Competitive Position of Poland and the Baltic States in the Context of Contemporary Economic Challenges).
