On 26–27 May 2026, the 55th International Scientific Circles Seminar was held in Kortowo at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, under the theme "At the Borders of Disciplines." The event brought together more than 400 students and doctoral candidates from Poland and abroad, representing various academic centres and fields of study.
The Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius was represented by two scientific circles: the Janusz Korczak Scientific Circle of Pedagogy Students and the Robert Schuman Scientific Circle of European Studies.
In the social-pedagogical section, Kazimierz Liplański and Dariusz Deinarowicz took first place, presenting a scientific paper titled "Individual Differences in Learning a Text for On-Camera Speech: The Role of Learning Strategies and Distractions." The work was inspired by questions concerning how contemporary algorithms function, as well as the authors' own experience in media work.
Agnieszka Klukowska and Iweta Karazo also gave a presentation, titled "Theatre as a Bridge to Literature. The Activity of the Janusz Korczak Scientific Circle in Promoting Children's Reading," concerning the Circle's theatrical and literary activities and the "Meeting with a Book" project.
Second- and third-year European Studies students Silvija Karazo and Daniel Glinskij presented a scientific paper and publication titled "Complaint Against Member States for Infringement of European Union Law." Their participation provided an opportunity to exchange scientific experience and deepen knowledge of the functioning of European Union law and its enforcement mechanisms.
The participation of both scientific circles in the seminar made it possible to present research results at a nationwide and international forum, as well as to exchange views and strengthen the academic community's integration.
