November 11th Celebrations

On November 11th, at the Vilniaus Rasos Cemetery, near the Mausoleum of the Heart of the Mother and the Son, ceremonies were held to mark the National Independence Day of Poland, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius. On the 105th anniversary of regaining independence, the Polish community gathered to collectively commemorate this important holiday, laying a wreath at the grave of the Marshal's Heart.

Traditionally, on this occasion, students, staff, and the Vice-Dean of the University of Bialystok's Vilnius Branch, Dr. Elżbieta Majewska, participated in the ceremonies at the Old Rossa Cemetery. The ceremony in front of the Mausoleum of the Mother and the Heart of the Son was an opportunity to pay tribute to the memory of Józef Piłsudski and the fallen heroes who fought for the freedom of the homeland.
